is an experience which everyone must go through. Symbol of adulthood, being Independent. Although I still depend on the allowance given by government. But hey, Im talking about cooking for yourself, wash your own clothes and etc etc. Well all those you usually let your mother or amah do for you lah.
Some people never learn how to do those stuffs and came to UK or foreign countries usually ended up phone back to their home and cry how difficult life is in foreign countries. Well, that have to blame on themselves not learning how to do house chores before. You think its so cool to study in foreign countries meh?
One thing I feel lucky is that I don't have to stay in Uni residential. Had been hearing stories about how their food(new) gone in one night!(been stolen la). Lucky I stayed with my course mates from Brunei. So one advise to other Bruneians who wanted to come UK to study, find friends from Brunei and share house/flats with them. If not, buy a small fridge and keep it in your room in Uni residential place.
Coming to Glasgow, I had no choices but to cook for myself (sometimes takeaway la :p) and I learnt how to cook a few different recipes here. Cooking and baking. But when I went back to Brunei, I never cook a meal for myself. Lazy bahhhhh. Not that I forgot how to cook or bake. Well, I willing to cook delicious meals for my special someone everyday. Oh who will be that special someone? Kekeke let the fate decide.
Oh I learnt how to walk here. You know, more walking here compared to Brunei. I miss walking very much. Used to walk alot when Im still not legal to drive yet. Im being sarcastic here if you still don't understand. Need me to explain more? Ok here goes my honest opinions so I hope no one from Brunei feel insulted. Im one of you okay haha. Well most Bruneian nowadays like to drive cars even though the destination is just 15 mins walk from your home. Why? Lazy? Maybe. Or is it because the price of the oil is cheaper than mineral water? Well better start to learn how to walk and use public transport cause you'll never know what will happen in the future. *hint* The sky is not our limit. Earth is....and that "liquid stuff" ;)
Basically, I believe anyone that have came to UK for education or work learn how to be independent at the end. If they still not learn how to be independent....man I don't know what to say...... you just a plastic bead on an expensive jewellery in a supermarket which no one wants to buy. Woah...chill~ Next time again. Cheers everyone.
