20th May - Industrial trip to Schlumberger @ Labuan

Ahh....at last...update on the Labuan trip...after soooo long.
Waking up very early in the morning is very tiring....well i mean not really tiring lah but then its holidays now man....am i suppose to sleep early and wake up early?
Well somehow i managed to sleep early and woke up at 4am. Impressive, i thought to myself. Took bath then wait till its around 5.30am, i decided to go round round Gadong looking for any still-open restaurant. Lucky Restoran Semporna still open! Ate kolomee then went to UBD to wait for the bus.
Reached UBD FOS and as expected, Im not the 1st one to reach there. But then, I really never expect that the bus came late! In email, it is said that we are to meet at FOS at 6.15am so i thought the bus would come early but NOooooo......the blardy bus came at 6.40pm! Oh well....time to go.

There comes the bus....

Skipping all the boring part during the trip to the Serasa ferry terminal. I was totally dumbstrucked when Dr.Voo passed us the ferry tickets at FOS. I saw "Seri Anna"....."Is that a restaurant's name?" Sound like one, no? Until I reach the Serasa port and damn I saw alot more restaurant names. Seri that and Seri this. Ok...its actually is the ferry's name! Haha this is like my 1st time taking a ferry bah although i can't remember have i ever took one?

Seri Anna, the ferry

So this is how a ferry looks like...O_o so sakai eh me

Illegal immigrant all the way from Australia...NOT!

Gateway to heaven haha

Its said in the ticket that the ferry leaves at 7.30am but heck it left at around 8am. But its all good, we had entertainment in the ferry too. We watched Rush Hour 2. Aww man...love it.
My dad used to tell me that its not good to sit too long on a seat. You got to get your ass up and start shake it around. Ok...im just kidding about that. The point is to get up, stretching, move around so i decided to go to the back of the ferry...

That's Kahwee

And this me

Even the lecturers came out to enjoy the fresh sea breeze

And this guy....i think he saw some fish and want to jump in to catch them huhu

Petronas Nuclear Power Plant somewhere between Brunei and Labuan, again..Im jk

At last we arrived at Labuan port, just in time Rush Hour 2 finished too. Waa....how long is the ride ah?

Labuan port~

And there's a bus from Schlumberger came to fetch us.

Fuyooo, Schlumberger's personal bus keke

In the bus

At the back of the bus

We must wear safety belt. Not because the law in Labuan there is strict or police will fine you if you don't wear it. Its the policy of Schlumberger, SAFETY come first. That's what I like about Schlumberger, very rare accident happened during their works. Upon arriving Schlumberger, we saw this banner

A welcome banner

At the lobby

Labuan Manager, Jean Claude giving welcome speech

Terrance Koh, QHSE trainer giving briefing about PPE

For those who don't know what is QHSE and PPE, QHSE means Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment. PPE means Personal Protective Equipment.

And this two lady over here...forgot their name XD each give presentation on Wireline and Well Testing

After finished all the presentations, its time for the base tour and demonstrations. Before that, we had to wear PPE. Remember? SAFETY first bah. Its their policy.

My future working outfit? Wawawa XD

Now below are a few pictures that I took. Well I malas to explain which is the apparatus for well testing or wireline. Hehehe ok la. To tell the truth, Im "kinda" forgot all about them xp

Ooh she's a Vietnamese btw....haha apakan? XD

Everyone is focusing except for me :p

Huge water tanks....eh...no no no. I forgot what are those :S

Man i never knew how complex can a drill be...

Hmm this is interesting....I was quite near when i took this picture

Errr i think that long pipe is something called "Gun"? Maybe not ;)

At long last, we can spare our life from the blazing hot sun. Finish touring.

Went back to the aircon meeting room and all of us strip...i mean took off our PPE. Hahaha for those who wear smart, you can see their sexy sweat stain on their smart outfit, back and front. Ahh didnt manage to take the photos though. After that we had Q&A session. And there is some quiz too, gifts will be given to the winner. I didnt manage to get one :( and someone won a 2 Gb pendrive ah. Nice~
Lastly, its time for souvenir exchange and photo session.

The souvenir exchange was rather very fast so I didnt manage to get a decent photo of it

Group photo at the Mustar point with the banner. Oh well...click on it to enlarge ;)
Thanks to Azri for this group photo.

Then the bus came again to transport us back to the Labuan Ferry terminal around 3.30pm. We still got half an hour before go in to the ferry so me and the lecturers took this opportunity to shop for liquors wahahaha. Man there are alot of duty free shops! Went in one of the liquor shop just located opposite of Labuan ferry terminal and I bought myself one bottle of Chivas and one bottle of Bacardi Limon using the money my dad gave me muahahaha. The lecturers just bought some beers and wine.
After that went to KFC to have our snacks. Woot no tax charge. Unlike in Miri....
So we got on our ferry at 4pm and this time the movie screen was Kung-Fu King. Hah the captain of Seri Anna must be a big fan of Jackie Chan's movie eh? Went to the back of ferry again and took some nice pictures :)

Nice view, no? ;)

Upon arriving Serasa ferry terminal, me and the lecturers had to something that is troublesome....Had to fill in yellow form. Kacau eh.

Ermm...thanks to Azri again who took this picture
Criminals~haha

Ahhh.....I just love them. Don't you? ;p

The suckiest part of this trip was...we had to write a report about it. Man! Another report! Oh well, i think my coursemates were working on it. Gah I feel guilty?

18th May - Wanio's Bday

Ah at last, got some pictures from my coursemate Azri.
Last Sunday, me and my coursemates were having picnic at Muara beach. Only a few of us were there. Boring yet fun. Anyway pictures pictures.

Our food. Nasi Lemak, Pasta, BBQ chicken, cocktail, Pizza

Our can opener

Nina trying to fit in the tire....

....and resulted getting stuck haha

Labour work. Carrying a box of water.

Wanio cutting her almond cake...NOT

After sometime around 3pm, we decided to carry out the plan to surprise Wanio. Firstly Nina asked her to go to toilet together and Kahwee go get the cake in his car. After Wanio and Nina got back from toilet, the birthday girl still didnt notice about the cake on the table after a while. Then at last she spotted it and showed that surprise face.

Now its the real cake

Nina and Wany

After that, Ling, Kahwee, sui chieh and Nina want to go down the beach to play with the salty water. I insisted im not going to join them as I didnt bring any extra clothes. Ling and Nina is being persistent and keep on ask me to join them. Early, i saw kahwee pass his car key to Azri. See....something fishy is going on right?
So yea, Nina managed to "persuade" me by pulling me.

Sunshine~

Jump jump

Hooray!

Very much like chicken leg in the sand? Except chicken dont have hair.

After having fun playing with the water, went back to the hut and saw my very own 1st cake in my 17 years.

Having my time staring at the cake

Time to cut the cake and distribute. No candles blowing or wishing ahakz

Anyway thanks to Ling and Kahwee for the cakes. Very much appreciate it! My wish will be hope everyone go to Glasgow.

Not every EEE was there

Two towers at the side

Thanks to Nina who help us to take the photo. Hmm will be posting a group photo with Nina in.
